NATIONAL FIRE REPAIR Fine-tuning and upgrades lead to boost for company



YOUNGSTOWN -- Sales of $3 million last year were $500,000 more than 2002 figures for National Fire Repair, a division of Ben Rudick and Son, 865 E. Indianola Ave.
Jerald Rudick, chief executive of the general contracting and insurance restoration business, said the company improved its ability to compete by fine-tuning its sales and marketing, upgrading its estimating system and hiring an additional estimator.
The company is locally owned and operated and represents the third generation of contractors.
The company expects internal growth and more business in the area of mold remediation.
k GOALS FOR 2004: Continue its improvement by sending supervisors to various management seminars, providing ongoing employee training in specialty areas and seeking noninsurance-related construction.
