HILL, BARTH & amp; KING Firm joins alliance, merges with Florida alliance



BOARDMAN -- Hill, Barth & amp; King has continued to grow in size and availability of services.
HBK joined the BDO Seidman International Alliance, which has more than 40 offices across the country and is the sixth largest accounting firm. HBK said it continues to operate independently and is an independent member of the alliance.
On Jan. 1, HBK merged with The Schramm Co. of Stuart, Fla. Stephen Schramm, principal of the Florida firm, and eight other professional and administrative staff members joined HBK, which is building a new office in Fort Myers, Fla., to provide room for growth.
Besides these additions, HBK admitted one new principal.
The firm launched its health-care business services unit to provide the health-care industry with a range of business services to allow a provider to focus on patients, rather than their business.
HBK and its affiliates operate 15 offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Virginia.
