A real diva: Opera singer Jessye Norman will perform at Cleveland's Severance Hall for the first time in nearly 20 years, at 8 p.m. March 23. Remembering rock's roots: Buy tickets now to attend concerts in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's Black History Month program series. The influence of New Orleans music on rock and roll is being emphasized this year. Earl Palmer, session drummer with Fats Domino, Little Richard, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke and Frank Sinatra, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Cleveland museum's fourth-floor theater. Special guest will be Cosimo Matassa, New Orleans recording engineer and studio owner. Tickets are $10. Styx singer solo show: Vocalist Dennis DeYoung, formerly of rock band Styx, will perform songs from his career at 8 p.m. March 6 in State Theatre, Playhouse Square, Cleveland. Music will be by Cleveland Pops Orchestra. DeYoung's sections should include Styx songs "Come Sail Away," "Lady" and "The Best of Times," as well as music from his solo albums and Broadway appearances.
