XEast Palestine Band Parents will sponsor "One Elegant Evening" dinner and dance beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Antone's Banquet Centre, Boardman. XA Valentine's Day celebration will be held Feb. 14 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Struthers-Coitsville Road, Coitsville. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and music for dancing will be presented by El Grupo Lazer of Columbus. Mexican food and beverages will be served throughout the evening. FASHION SHOWS
XForum Health will sponsor a Think Pink Brunch and Fashion Show: Breast Cancer Survivor Celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 14 at A La Carte Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. The speaker will be Janie Pernotto Ehrman, a breast-cancer survivor and inspirational speaker. Fashions will be provided by area merchants and modeled by local celebrities. NIGHT AT THE RACES
XA night at the races will be held Friday at St. Nicholas Byzantine Activity Center, 3801 Shady Run Road, for adults only. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with post time at 7:15. Admission is free, and there will be food and a Chinese auction.

XOhio Valley Giant Pumpkin Growers will hold its annual giant-pumpkin growing seminar from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 25 at Green Township Community Building, Greenford. The class will be taught by Dave Stelts of Edinburg, Pa., and Jerry Rose of Huntsburg, who will cover seed selection, soils, fertility, pests, pollination, pruning and irrigation.
