Michelle Jackson, Charles McPhatter are engaged

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis, 1387 Kenneth St., and James Jackson, 2110 Stewart Ave., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Michelle Ann Jackson of 7812 Lewis Chapel Circle, Lorton, Va., to Charles Dennison McPhatter, 4508 Poppe Place, Temple Hills, Md.
Mr. McPhatter is a son of Aaron and Wilnette McPhatter of the Poppe Place address.
An open ceremony is planned for 1 p.m. May 29 at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, and invitations will be extended for a reception to be held afterward at The Embassy.
A graduate of Hampton University with a bachelor's degree in psychology, Miss Jackson is a speech-language pathologist with Prince William County Public Schools in Woodbridge, Va.
The future groom graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a bachelor's degree in economics. He is a financial analyst with Gannett Inc. in Springfield, Va.
