PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Andre Sweet was 7-of-9 from the field and scored 18 points to lead Seton Hall to a 55-46 victory over No. 23 Providence on Sunday, snapping the Friars' six-game winning streak.
Ryan Gomes had 28 points and 13 rebounds for Providence (14-4, 5-3), which fell out of a first-place tie in the Big East with the season low in points.
The win was the third straight -- all in the conference -- for Seton Hall (14-4, 4-2).
J.R. Morris scored 13 points for Seton Hall, while Kelly Whitney added 10.
No. 25 Oklahoma 52, Nebraska 50
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Lawrence McKenzie scored 18 points, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 2:24 remaining, for the Sooners, who led by as many as 17 points.
McKenzie matched his career high with five 3-pointers and had 10 rebounds for the Sooners (13-4, 3-3 Big 12), who scored just 16 points in the second half and went a stretch of 10:18 without scoring.
Jake Muhleisen scored 11 points for the Huskers (11-6, 1-5) and Brian Conklin, a graduate of Hubbard High, had 10.
