Bridesmaids' dresses are more wearable
WASHINGTON POST
All brides-to-be say it; most know it isn't true: the fantasy/lie that you'll be able to wear the bridesmaid dress again. (Ha!) But, brides, an attempt can be made to find a gown that gently says bridesmaid, rather than yelling it.
Pick flattering colors instead of trying to match the cocktail napkins. "Apple green, aqua blue, poppy and petal pink will be hot colors for the spring," says Saeyoung Vu, designer of Saeyoung Vu Couture. Long dresses have gone the way of the ex-lovers -- more tea-length and knee-length are making their way down the aisle. Tops are less tank and more A-line.
