MAC ROUNDUP Kent State rolls to 77-66 win over Akron
The Golden Flashes improved to 14-3, 8-1 in the conference.

KENT-- John Edwards had 24 points and eight rebounds and Eric Haut added 21 points Saturday to lead Kent State to a 77-66 win over Akron.
Jason Edwin added 17 points for the Golden Flashes. He hit all three of his 3-pointers during a 15-2 run that gave Kent State (14-3, 8-1 Mid-American Conference) a 50-40 lead with 12:45 remaining.
The Zips (9-8, 3-6) got within 54-48 with 9:48 to play. Haut's three-point play and a layup from Edwin pushed Kent State's lead to 11, and Akron got no closer than seven points after that.
Ohio 73, Cent. Michigan 61
ATHENS-- Jaivon Harris scored 20 points and Ohio reversed its shooting fortune in the second half to defeat Central Michigan.
After hitting only 9-of-29 shots before halftime, the Bobcats (6-13, 3-6 Mid-American Conference) made 17-of-28 following the break to erase a 31-26 deficit.
Bowling Green 88, Marshall 73
BOWLING GREEN -- Ron Lewis scored 31 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including three of four from behind the 3-point line, to lead Bowling Green.
Lewis scored 17 of his points in the second half, including five during a 22-5 run that put Bowling Green (9-10, 5-4 Mid American Conference) up 88-70 with 1:15 left.
Toledo 77, N. Illinois 64
DEKALB, Ill. -- Keith Triplett scored 21 points for Toledo .
Sammy Villegas and Justin Ingram each had 11 points for Toledo (15-4, 9-2 Mid-American Conference) and Florentino Valencia added 10. Triplett also led the Rockets with seven rebounds.
Perry Smith led Northern Illinois (7-12, 2-7) with 14 points and Anthony Maestranzi added 10. Marcus Smallwood led the Huskies with nine rebounds.
W. Michigan 75, E. Michigan 55
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Levi Rost came off the bench to lead Western Michigan's scoring with 16 points.
