GIRLS BASKETBALL Rokicki, Graf, Toth key Poland to 10th



Rayen clinched another City Series title; Columbiana remains unbeaten.
NILES -- Alexis Rokicki scored 15 points Saturday to lead the Poland High girls basketball team to a 53-47 victory over Niles.
Steffi Graf scored 14 points and Jessica Toth 12 for the Bulldogs (10-4, 6-3 Metro Athletic Conference).
For Niles (8-6, 3-5), Stacia Ray scored 14 points and Jaclyn Sears 12. Stephanie Parish scored 11 points and led the Red Dragons with nine rebounds.
Howland 52, Struthers 28
STRUTHERS -- Sara Krezeczowski tossed in 19 points to lead Howland in a MAC game.
Carolyn Hanshaw and Melissa Airhart added 11 points each for the Tigers (7-7, 3-4), who led 23-12 at the half.
Allison Ginnetti had 13 points to lead Struthers (3-12, 1-8).
Rayen 70, Canton Timken 37
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Rayen School (10-7) wrapped up the City Series title with a 6-0 record.
Taniesha Holland paced the Tigers with 21 points, eight steals and six assists. Ashley Meyers added 17 and she grabbed 14 rebounds. Taryn Perkins added 13 points and she pulled down 11 rebounds.
Ursuline 75,St. Thomas Aquinas 36
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Irish (14-2) were sparked by Courtney Davidson, who had 27 points and six assists. Tyra Grant added 21 points and she grabbed 10 of 41 rebounds.
Carly Pavlik led the Knights (7-9) with 13 points.
Cleveland Heights Beaumont 65, Mooney 54, OT
YOUNGSTOWN -- Laura Sordee scored eight of her 18 points in overtime, as Cleveland Heights Beaumont spurted in overtime to beat Cardinal Mooney. Sordee had four 3-point goals.
Ronni Garofoli chipped in with 12 points, while Danielle Bala had 10 and 12 rebounds and Heather Sweeney 10 points to bolster Beaumont.
Amber Bodrick had 23 points and nine rebounds to spark Mooney (5-10), while Gina Brunetti had 15 and Dana Palazzo 10.
McDonald 66, Mathews 59
MCDONALD -- Michelle Krumpak scored 23 points and Ashleigh Tondo added 20 to spark the Blue Devils (8-6, 4-4) in the Inter-County League game. Tara Ford led Mathews (6-7, 2-5) with 22 points. Melanie Roscoe added 15.
Western Reserve 38, Mineral Ridge 33
MINERAL RIDGE -- Emily Johnson had 15 points and Lindsey Wentzel added 10 as the Blue Devils (3-10, 1-7) notched their first ICL victory while keeping the Rams winless in the league. Brandy Hall paced Mineral Ridge (2-11, 0-7) with 15 points.
Columbiana 79, Sebring 38
COLUMBIANA -- Twelve players got into the scoring column for the Clippers, who lead the Tri-County League standings with an 8-0 record. They are 13-1 overall.
Stacie Cross paced Columbiana with 14 points. Whitney Goist and Cara Hardenbrook chipped in with 10 apiece.
Goist had nine rebounds, six assists and five steals. The Clippers controlled the boards 47-27.
Kim Cardinal led Sebring (2-11, 2-6) with 12 points.
Lisbon 51, United 46
HANOVERTON -- Kelly Flory scored 14 points and Kim Davis 13 to lead Lisbon in a TCL game.
Meghan Brammer added nine points for the Blue Devils (5-9, 4-4).
Ashley Bergman had 13 points to pace United (7-7, 2-6), while Krista Reeder had nine with four assists and as many steals and Trista Houck nine points. Danielle Altenhof added eight rebounds with four points.
