CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Peaches Harris scored 18 points in Charlotte's 74-70 victory over No. 13 DePaul on Saturday night.
Harris was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field, including 5-for-5 on 3-pointers as the 49ers (12-7, 5-1 Conference USA) earned their first win over a ranked opponent since beating then-No. 6 Alabama 69-67 on Feb. 18, 1997.
Pam Brown came off the bench to score 16, Monica League had 14 and Sakellie Daniels added 10 as Charlotte snapped DePaul's 10-game winning streak.
Charlene Smith scored 23 points, Ashley Luke had 14 and Jenni Dant 12 for DePaul (18-2, 6-1). Charlotte held DePaul center Khara Smith, who was averaging 21.5 points a game, to seven.
Charlotte led by as many as 14 in the second half, going up 59-45 with 8:41 left.
DePaul cut the 49ers' lead to two, 70-68, on Dant's layup with 19.4 seconds remaining, but League made four consecutive free throws to clinch the win.
