BOSTON -- Brian Rolston scored on a rebound with 1:33 left to give Boston the win despite Dany Heatley's first goal since recovering from a car accident that killed Atlanta teammate Dan Snyder.
Heatley, playing in only his fourth game this season, scored 1:54 into the first period to give Atlanta a 1-0 lead.
Joe Thornton scored a pair of goals for Boston, which has won four straight and is unbeaten in its last five. Glenn Murray added a goal and an assist.
Capitals 2, Lightning 1
WASHINGTON -- Anson Carter scored his first goal for Washington, and Maxime Ouellet made 38 saves for his second NHL win.
Jeff Halpern also scored for the last-place Capitals, who broke a three-game home losing streak. Although next-to-last in the Eastern Conference, Washington is 8-3-1-1 against Southeast Division opponents.
The Capitals snapped the Lightning's six-game winning streak, which tied a franchise record. Tampa Bay lost in regulation for just the second time in 15 games. Vincent Lecavalier scored the Lightning's lone goal.
Devils 2, Senators 1
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Jeff Friesen scored with 6:13 left to give New Jersey its third win in four games against Ottawa this season.
Sergei Brylin freed the puck in the corner to the right of goaltender Patrick Lalime and passed it to Jamie Langenbrunner, who fed a wide-open Friesen for a tap-in for his 12th goal of the season.
Martin Brodeur finished with 23 saves for the Devils. Wade Redden scored for Ottawa.
Islanders 5, Canucks 4, OT
UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Mariusz Czerkawski had a goal and two assists within 2:17 late in the third period and Adrian Aucoin capped New York's incredible comeback by scoring 36 seconds into overtime.
The Islanders scored four goals in the final 3:51 to turn around a 3-1 deficit and win for the 19th time in 28 home games (19-8-1).
For the Canucks, it was their second straight tough loss. Vancouver rallied from a 3-1 hole in the third period on Monday against the New York Rangers, only to give up a late goal in a 4-3 defeat that snapped a five-game winning streak.
The Canucks were 19-0 when leading after two periods.
Blackhawks 4, Maple Leafs 1
TORONTO -- Steve Sullivan, Nathan Dempsey and Bryan Berard scored against their former team, and Craig Anderson made 43 saves to lead Chicago.
Sullivan added two assists for the Blackhawks, winners of just two of their last 22 road games.
Mikael Renberg scored the lone goal for the Maple Leafs.
Red Wings 4, Predators 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Brett Hull, Brendan Shanahan and Kirk Maltby each scored goals, and Detroit snapped Nashville's 11-game home unbeaten streak.
Pavel Datsyuk added an empty-netter with 13.5 seconds remaining for his 25th goal this season.
Nashville hadn't lost at home since a 2-1 overtime defeat against Vancouver on Dec. 16. The streak had tied the franchise high.
Wyatt Smith scored in the second for Nashville. It was the Predators' 10 short-handed goal this season, a franchise record.
Avalanche 3, Hurricanes 1
DENVER -- David Aebischer stopped 36 shots and Colorado bounced back from a sluggish start to beat Carolina.
Milan Hejduk, Steve Konowalchuk and Steve Moore scored for Colorado, 5-0-2-1 its past eight games. The Avalanche have at least a point in 17 of the past 18 games (13-1-2-2).
Pavel Brendl scored for Carolina, which hasn't beaten Colorado since Feb. 9, 1996, a span of 13 games (0-10-3).
Kings 4, Flames 4
CALGARY, Alberta -- Jarome Iginla scored three goals but Calgary squandered two two-goal leads and tied Los Angeles.
Calgary was ahead 2-0 in the first period and 4-2 in the second, but the Kings rallied to tie it both times.
Dean McAmmond also scored for Calgary.
Eric Belanger, Esa Pirnes, Alexander Frolov, and Luc Robitaille had the goals for Los Angeles, which has just one regulation loss in its last 13 games (5-1-6-1).
Sharks 3, Panthers 0
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Nils Ekman, Alyn McCauley and Marco Sturm each scored a goal, and Evgeni Nabokov stopped 26 shots to help San Jose avoid its first three-game losing streak.
Evgeni Nabokov recorded his sixth shutout of the season and 23rd of his career as the Sharks stopped a two-game skid by winning for the fourth time at home in five games. He is one shutout shy of the franchise's single-season record.
Roberto Luongo had 25 saves for the Panthers, who have a four-game winless streak.
