CANFIELD
Jan. 19
Counterfeit: A counterfeit Western Union money order was passed at El Patio Motel, 485 W. Main St.

Burglary: Various items including a widescreen television were found missing at a residence in the 200 block of South Broad Street. There were no signs of forced entry.
Jan. 28
Drug paraphernalia: A blue and white suspected marijuana pipe with residue was found on a 17-year-old male Youngstown student at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center. The student arrived at school under the influence of marijuana, according to a police report.
Jan. 29
Drug paraphernalia: A suspected crack pipe and small plastic bags containing suspected cocaine residue were found during an arrest of a 19-year-old Canfield man in the 100 block of Saw Mill Run Road.
Jan. 30
Burglary: Owner of a residence in the 100 block of Surrey Lane returned home to find her front sliding door wide open. She found two items missing.
Jan. 31
Criminal mischief: Eggs were thrown at a residence in the 100 block of Laurel Hills Lane.
Marijuana: A 27-year-old Pennsylvania man was arrested during a traffic stop on North Broad Street near Saw Mill Run Road on charges of drug abuse, obtaining and possession after police found plastic containers of marijuana.

Theft: An electric meter was reported stolen from SuperWash, 44 Cardinal Drive.

Jan. 26
Breaking and entering: An electric company junction box was damaged but nothing was taken in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Breaking and entering: Tools were stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Breaking and entering: Cigarettes and money were taken from Colla's Market, 5529 Mahoning Ave.
Auto theft: A 1989 Buick Park Avenue was stolen from the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft from auto: The lid to a battery box was stolen from a 2000 Freightliner at Mahoning County Court No. 4, in the Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damage: The door lock of a vehicle was damaged in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Jan. 27
Attempted theft: Austintown police have issued a warrant for a white female in her 30s who unsuccessfully tried to steal money by quick changing a clerk at Sav-A-Step, 31 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Theft from auto: Two men in their 20s stole a vehicle from Noday's Lounge, 3713 Oakwood Ave.
Burglary: A PlayStation was taken from a residence in the 40 block of North Yorkshire Boulevard. Entry was gained through an unlocked door.
Theft from auto: A checkbook was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at Valley View Gas Station, 3605 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A purse was stolen from the Checkered Flag Restaurant, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Breaking and entering: A toolbox was taken from Micromatic Tools, 220 Victoria Road. There was no sign of forced entry.
Drug offense: Two Austintown men were charged with possession of marijuana and crack and possession of drug paraphernalia during an arrest on South Edgehill Avenue. One man also was charged with carrying a concealed weapon when police found a knife on him.
Theft from auto: Cash and credit cards were stolen from a vehicle at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A 17-year-old girl was arrested in a theft at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: $375 in cash was taken from the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft from auto: A radio was taken from BW-3, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Counterfeit checks: A man is suspected of passing two bad checks for $3,183 at Sky Bank, 6010 Mahoning Ave.
Burglary: A door was kicked in but nothing was taken at a residence in the 1000 block of Fountain Square apartments.
Theft: A purse was stolen from a shopping cart at Wal-Mart.
Auto theft: A 1990 Buick was stolen from a residence in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Court.
Criminal damage: Damage was done to the door of a residence in the 5000 block of West Rockwell Road.
Theft from auto: Unknown items were taken from the trunk of a vehicle in the 5000 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft from auto: Two tires and rims were taken from a vehicle at Bob and Chuck Eddy's, 4850 Mahoning Ave.
Property damage: A vehicle was damaged at the BP gas station, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Two purses were stolen from the Babylon, 114 Javit Court.
Theft from auto: Three black tarps were stolen from Fyda Freightliner, 5260 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: A woman was arrested on a theft charge at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Aggravated robbery: McQuaid's, 702 N. Meridian Road, was robbed by a white male in his late 40s, 6 feet 1 inches tall with a full mustache and early beard. He held a wooden handle handgun and drove a small white vehicle.
