WARREN 'Television therapist' to be guest lecturer

Dr. Will Miller should be familiar to viewers of Nick at Nite.
WARREN -- Dr. Will Miller is the third guest lecturer for the YWCA of Warren Trumbull Town Hall Celebrity Series, 10:30 a.m. March 3, at the Packard Music Hall on Mahoning Avenue.
Miller was Nick at Nite's resident "Television Therapist" and the host of its "Why We Watch" segment for five years. His penetrating yet tongue-in-cheek insights into the hidden meaning of our favorite shows made him a popular fixture at the home of classic TV.
America's comedy clubs would be the last place you would expect to give rise to one of the country's leading cultural analysts, but that is exactly what happened in the case of Miller.
At the same time, he was working his way to headline status as a comedian, earned four graduate degrees, trained as a psychotherapist and was ordained as a minister.
Miller holds a master's degree and a doctorate in urban education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, a master's in clinical social work from Columbia University and a master's in divinity from Union Theological Seminary.
Miller's books will be available for sale the day of the lecture.
Luncheon
Immediately after the lecture, a luncheon for lecture ticket holders will be held at the Avalon Inn and Resort. Luncheon tickets are $12. Reservations must be made in advance through the Trumbull Town Hall office at the YWCA of Warren.
Trumbull Town Hall membership is $50 for the Celebrity Series. Individual guest lecture tickets are $25 each. Special rates are available for groups of 15 or more, and college and high school students with valid ID may attend the lectures for $5.
