No. 23 Virginia Tech 75, Syracuse 60
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) -- Ieva Kublina scored 23 points, had 10 rebounds and blocked five shots to lift No. 23 Virginia Tech past Syracuse 75-60 Saturday.
Dawn Chriss and Kerri Gardin each added 14 points for the Hokies (16-4, 5-4 Big East).
Rochelle Coleman led the Orangewomen (6-12, 3-5) with 18 points, while Julie McBride added 17 points.
Virginia Tech used its size advantage to outrebound the Orangewomen 43-29.
The Orangewomen trailed 31-24 at halftime and scored just five points over nearly eight minutes in the second half to let the game slip away. It was their fourth straight loss.
