MERCER COUNTY Judge sentences Sharon woman to 1-2 years in prison for burglary



Fourteen other people also were sentenced last week.
MERCER, Pa. -- A Sharon woman was sentenced to one to two years in prison for burglary in Mercer County Common Pleas Court on Thursday.
Judge Thomas Dobson sentenced Deanne Goodnight, 40, with addresses listed at Bechtol Drive and Stambaugh Avenue, Sharon, for a July 27, 2003, burglary at a Cedar Avenue, Sharon, home. She was placed on two years' probation, consecutive to the prison term, for resisting arrest. According to court documents, she brandished a hunting knife at a Sharon police officer and kicked another officer during her arrest for the burglary.
Also sentenced last week:
UJessica Cimo, 21, of Second Avenue, Sharon, 15 months' probation for criminal conspiracy to possess a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. On July 30, 2003, Cimo and another person were apprehended at a Wengler Avenue, Sharon, address, with 53 pills, including OxyContin, Alprazolam and Pemoline.
UEric Dallacroce, 24, of Hassle Drive, Hermitage, 24 months' probation for unsworn falsification, a misdemeanor. According to court documents, in February, 1999, he made false statements when filling out a Firearms Transaction Record required for purchase of a firearm.
Theft, drug paraphernalia
URicky Fair, 19, of McMinn Road, Sharpsville, 18 months' probation for two counts of theft from a motor vehicle and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. On Aug. 1, 2003, he possessed two fishing poles, a tackle box and various compact discs that had been stolen from vehicles parked on Winner Road, Clark. On Aug. 5, 2003, he also took a first-aid kit and a flashlight from a truck parked on McCullough Road, Jefferson Township. He was also found in possession of a small amount of marijuana, as well as pipes, "roach clips," and containers commonly used for storing the drug, according to court documents.
UBradley Martin, 25, of Park Avenue, New Castle, 15 months' probation for misdemeanor retail theft for stealing 23 packs of "Yo-Gi-Oh" trading cards, two DVDs and a cell phone, valued at a total $365, from Wal-Mart in Hermitage on August 2, 2003.
UAngela Marie Odem, 28, of Wallis Avenue, Farrell, 60 months' probation for misdemeanor corruption of minors and ordered to have no contact with the victim. According to court documents, between May 11 and June 11, 2003, she engaged in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old boy at a Beechwood Avenue, Farrell address.
Forgery
UKatherine Reed, 29, of East Budd Street, Sharon, 18 months' probation for misdemeanor forgery. In April, 2002, according to court documents, she forged $1,564 worth of checks at various locations in Mercer County.
UWillie Richard, 37, of North Irvine Avenue, Sharon, was placed on 24 months' probation for theft by unlawful taking, a misdemeanor. On July 24, 2003, he took a purse with contents valued at more than $200 from the Last Lap Bar, 125 Broadway Avenue, Farrell.
Judge Francis Fornelli also sentenced several people earlier this week.
UDemaun Green, 27, of Wallis Avenue, Farrell, 11 months to two years in jail for simple assault and unlawful restraint, both misdemeanors. On Aug. 12, 2003, according to court documents, he struck a woman in the head with a hairbrush, punched her in the jaw, slammed her headfirst onto the ground, bit her, dragged her into a Fruit Avenue, Farrell residence, locked the door, and forced her into the basement.
UCharles Allen Hicklin, II, 20, three months to one year for possessing drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. He had two marijuana pipes at a Fruit Avenue, Farrell address, on April 29, 2003, according to court documents.
UChristopher Legas, 27, of Fox Mine Road, Jackson Center, four months to two years in prison for resisting arrest. On June 4, 2003, he pushed and punched a Mercer County Jail corrections officer while the officer was trying to recover contraband that Legas was trying to flush down a toilet.
Misdemeanor assault
UDavid McFarland, 37, of South Mercer Avenue, Hermitage, 11 months to two years in jail for felony criminal trespassing and misdemeanor simple assault. On June 17, 2003, he broke into a Baker Avenue residence, then kicked and punched a man at the residence while the man was lying on the ground.
UScott Morgan, 44, of Grace Place, Sharon, four months to one year for bad checks, a misdemeanor, and ordered to make $796 restitution to Wal-Mart in Hermitage for 14 checks he passed there between Oct. 20 and Nov. 3, 2002.
UChristy Noll, 30, two years' probation and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service for theft by failure to make required disposition of funds. According to court documents, Noll, an employee of the Corning Revere Outlet at the Grove City Shops, state Route 208, Springfield Township, failed to make $5,320 worth of bank deposits between Jan. 12 and March 24, 2003.
USean Rain, 25, of Hamilton Avenue, Farrell, five years' probation for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and 15 to 30 days for possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was given 20 days' credit and paroled. According to court documents, on March 15, 2003, he was apprehended at Irvine Avenue and Stateline Road, Sharon, with less than 30 grams of marijuana and with two plastic bags commonly used for packing and storing crack cocaine.
