Two ordinations set
LOWELLVILLE -- Victory Christian Center, 15 Bedford Road, will ordain the Rev. Juan Rivera and the Rev. Jerome Minor at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. They will bring the number of pastors at the church to 10. Their ordination is part of the church's effort to minister to the area's different ethnic populations.
The Rev. Mr. Rivera will preach, handle the midweek Bible studies and head the young couples ministry. The Rev. Mr. Minor will also assist in the midweek Bible studies, oversee men's ministries, and be involved in community outreach. Both have been attending Victory for many years.
There will be a reception for the men following the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. services.
Pastor to be installed
BELOIT -- Bethel United Church of Christ, 25701 Buck Road, will install the Rev. Jeffrey G. Davis as pastor and teacher at 4 p.m. Sunday. He will be installed by the UCC's Eastern Ohio Association of the Ohio Conference. The Rev. Richard Plant will officiate.
The Rev. Mr. Davis, 44, received a bachelor's of music degree from Capital University in Columbus and his master of divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Mich., in 1989. He served UCC churches in Portsmouth and Dublin, Ohio, and came to Bethel from Emmanuel UCC in Manchester, Mich.
Church celebrates move
AUSTINTOWN -- First United Methodist Church of West Austintown, 6769 Mahoning Ave., will have a praise, prayer and celebration service at 3 p.m. Saturday in its old church building. People will then move to the new church built at the site for praise and celebration. A soup and sandwich meal will be served.
New Hope drama set
WARREN -- New Hope Free Methodist Church, 2250 Tod Ave., will present "Brandy, the Unknown Soldier," a drama production at 6 p.m. Feb. 22. Producer and director Victoria Perkins wrote the parody based on "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer." In "Brandy," a woman moves to a town and fights demons. The show looks at the topics of sacrifice and the willingness to accomplish God's call. Youths and adults will perform the free presentation.
Lenten preparation
CAMPBELL -- St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church, 633 Porter Ave., will have a praise and worship service at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 to prepare for the Lenten season.

Youth program offered
BOARDMAN -- Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive, will present its Treehouse program for children age 4 to fifth grade. The theme is "Learning About Jesus Through His Names," and activities will include puppet shows, music and drama. The program is from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays from Feb. 18-March 31.
