ICE-COLD WORK: Three generations of the Miller family work on cutting large chunks of ice out of a Mesopotamia Township pond. The ice will serve as refrigeration for the family's food supply during the summer months. One family member cuts the ice into square blocks while others carry it to a waiting wagon.
