Police charge teens with burglary
AUSTINTOWN -- Police have arrested a man and a teen accused of being involved in a burglary last week on North Edgehill Avenue.
Rocco Flaviano III, 18, of Warner Avenue, Mineral Ridge, is charged with burglary and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He also is charged with receiving stolen property after police found him with a video camera reported stolen from a Niles home.
The teen, 16, of Rome Drive, is charged with burglary. Police also are investigating the involvement of three other teens in the North Edgehill Avenue burglary.
Reports state that at about 11:30 a.m. Jan. 23, Flaviano, the Rome Drive teen, and a teen girl were in a car that dropped off two teen boys at the North Edgehill Avenue home. The boys entered an unlocked back door, broke into a gun cabinet, and stole two rifles and two shotguns, reports state.
The car with the two teens and Flaviano then came back and picked up the two boys, who later hid the guns under a shirt in brush on Youngstown's West Side, reports show. Police have not found the guns.
