About the movie
The Pygmalion-like story follows Eliza Dolittle, played by Hepburn, as she undergoes a glorious transformation by the hands of Professor Henry Higgins (Harrison).
As a result of his tutelage, Dolittle blossoms into a loverly, well-spoken woman who wins the heart of her somewhat rigid instructor.
Some of the film's most famous musical selections include "Wouldn't It Be Loverly," "I Could Have Danced All Night" and "Show Me."
The film is rated G.
MGM is releasing six additional Oscar-winning movies: "Grand Hotel" with Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford and Lionel Barrymore, "The Great Ziegfeld" with William Powell, "Mutiny on the Bounty" with Clark Gable, "Mrs. Miniver" starring Walter Pidgeon, "Gaslight" with Ingrid Bergman and "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" with Robert Donat.
