TU B'SHEVAT

TU B'SHEVAT
Meaning
The New Year of the Trees has many spiritual connections, including:
Genesis says that the Tree of Life was in the center of the Garden of Eden.
Genesis also says that God first planted seed-bearing herbs and trees in the Garden of Eden.
Deuteronomy forbids the destruction of fruit trees, even in war.
The Torah, the Jewish Scriptures, is also called a Tree of Life.
Planting can express hope, change and new possibilities.
Planting can also signify eternity as seeds produce more trees with fruit.
