New florist shopto open this week
LISBON -- Village Greenery, a new florist shop at 119 N. Market St., will open Saturday. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for 11 a.m.
The owner, Billie Kren, formerly operated the business in Salineville for eight years. More recently, she has worked as a designer for area florists, including Quaker Corner in Salem. The new store will offer fresh and silk flowers and green plants.
Speaker to addressInventors Association
LIBERTY -- John Sovis of Choice Designs will speak at Wednesday's meeting of the Youngstown & amp; Warren Inventors Association. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Liberty Township building, 1315 Churchill-Hubbard Road. The public is welcome and there is no charge to attend. Choice Designs completes engineering work for product designs and assists with locating manufacturers.
