CANTON Professor of film and theology to speak at Malone



CANTON -- Dr. Terrence R. Lindvall, humorist, author, speaker and visiting professor in film and theology at Duke Divinity School, will address "Does God really have a great sense of humor?" in a series of presentations Feb. 9 at Malone College.
A first presentation is 10:05 a.m. at Malone College chapel in Osborne Hall. Throughout the day, Lindvall will speak in classes and be available for a book signing in the Malone College bookstore. And he presents "Comedy on Trial: A History, Theology and Physiology of Laughter for the Christian" at 7:30 p.m. in the Fred F. Silk Auditorium, Mitchell Hall. Lindvall, an academy-award-winning film producer and nationally known Christian scholar, has published books on film, humor and C.S. Lewis. He created and helped build the award-winning film school at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va., launching its annual film festival, and he has supervised the student production of several films.
He also was on the founding faculty and has served as president of Regent University and has taught at Old Dominion University, Wheaton College, Virginia Wesleyan College, Azusa Pacific University, Fuller Theological Seminary and Vanguard University.
