XNEW ORLEANS -- The Windsor Court Hotel in the French Quarter was the setting at 6 p.m. Dec. 31 for the wedding of Alisa A. Cimorell, 344 Brittain Road, Akron, and Donald J. Malarcik Jr., 2057 Jennifer St., Akron.
The marriage was solemnized by the Rev. Patrick Mallinson.
The bride is the daughter of the late Anthony J. Cimorell. Parents of the groom are Donald and Evelyn Malarcik, 3671 Highmeadow Drive, Canfield.
The bride wore a strapless ball gown of light-gold satin featuring side draping. A crystal and pearl tiara held her veil, and she carried a bouquet of stephanotis and pearls. After a reception at the hotel, the couple left for a honeymoon at St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
They live in Akron.
The bride graduated from Kent State University with a degree in elementary education. She is employed with Akron Public Schools and is pursuing a master's degree for school counselor at the University of Akron.
The groom, an attorney with Gorman, Malarcik and Pierce in Akron, earned a bachelor's degree in political science at KSU and received his juris doctorate from the Akron University School of Law.
