Poland man arrested on charges involving heroin and OxyContin
POLAND -- Robert F. Premec, 41, of 8354 N. Lima Road was arrested at his home Thursday on a secret drug indictment out of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
The arrest on five counts of drug trafficking was the result of a three-month investigation, said Bob Magnuson, commander of the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force.
He said Premec had been buying heroin and OxyContin, mostly in Youngstown, and distributing the drugs in the Poland area.
Task force members seized a box of syringes, several small bindles of suspected heroin packaged for sale, and five OxyContin prescription bottles in three different names, Magnuson said.
John F. Lynch Jr., 37, of Youngstown's West Side, was arrested on a parole violation warrant at the North Lima Road home, where he had been staying, Magnuson said.
Poland Village Patrolmen Don Lambert and Greg Wilson served as lead investigators on the case. The investigation also included Poland Township Police Chief Brian Goodin and Sgt. Gary Abeid.
