ASSOCIATIONS
XEastern Ohio Pharmacists Association will meet at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lucianno's Restaurant in Austintown. The program, "Strategies for Managing Hypertension," will be presented by Augustine Biscardi, a nephrologist with The Kidney Group, and sponsored by John Basista, Melissa Turner and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Refreshments will be provided. All pharmacists and pharmaceutical representatives are welcome.
XMill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will hold a pre-Super Bowl party during its monthly meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Jan. 11 at Marino's, 5423 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. An indoor tailgate-style dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m., which will include pizza, ribs, wings, chili and refreshments. Cost is $13. XA "Ring in the New" luncheon will be held by Warren Women's Connection on Jan. 10 at Aulizio's Banquet Center, 4395 Youngstown-Warren Road, at a new time, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Members will share memories and learn the history of the club, Dona Hewitt will be the soloist, and Judy Katsaras will be the speaker. XYoungstown Women's Connection will have "A New Beginning" luncheon at noon Jan. 11 at the Italian American Veterans Centre, 115 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. The program will feature women's fashions from the Arms Family Museum of Local History by Jessica Trickett, special music by Amanda Crago and guest speaker Raelyn Tsarnas, a storyteller. XMrs. Barbara Armstrong will present a book review when Friends of the Boardman Library meets Jan. 10 in the community room of the library.
