GIRLS BASKETBALL Holland and Neal lead Rayen to 55-40 victory

NILES -- The Rayen School improved to 7-1 with a 55-40 victory over Niles in a girls basketball game on Tuesday night.
The Tigers were led by seniors Taniesha Holland and Rilonda Neal. Holland finished with 24 points, eight steals, four rebounds and two assists, and Neal had 11 points and five rebounds.
The Red Dragons (1-9) were paced by Nina Gabrelcik, who had 17 points and two rebounds, and Stephanie Parish, who finished with 10 points and four rebounds.
Rayen jumped out to a 20-11 lead after the first quarter and 31-18 at halftime, then outscored Niles 16-8 in the third period to extend the margin to 21 points.
Kennedy Catholic 43,Cambridge Springs 34
MERCER -- Kendra Razkowski scored nine points for Kennedy Catholic, in the first round of the Mercer Holiday Tournament.
The Golden Eagles (5-3) will play Meadville tonight at 7:30.
Cambridge Springs was led by Carissa Johnson, who scored 11 points.
