YOUNGSTOWN -- A man shot to death on Rosedale Avenue around 10:40 p.m. Friday has been identified as Raymond Lamar Ford, 23, of Bott Avenue.
Mahoning County Coroner David M. Kennedy released the identity Monday and ruled the death a homicide.
A witness heard arguing and looked outside to see three men in the street. After being shot two or three times, Ford collapsed near 2010 Rosedale. Two suspects fled.
The case is being investigated by Detective Sgts. John Kelty and Ron Rodway. Kelty said Ford, known as "Tank," chose a lifestyle that led to his shooting. Kelty said he and Rodway have a couple of leads to run down but declined to identify a motive. He said there are potential suspects.
