Sharon man is sent to lockup
A Canfield man was sent to jail for choking and pushing a woman.
MERCER, Pa. -- A Sharon man was sentenced to a year and a half to three years in a Pennsylvania state penitentiary for felony burglary.
Judge Thomas Dobson of Mercer County Common Pleas Court imposed the sentence and also declared Danny Rabold III, 29, of East Sliver Street, eligible for boot camp. He was given 198 days' credit for time served.
According to court documents, on June 6, Rabold entered a Sharon woman's bedroom through a window. He stole eight prescription pills and a key from the victim.
Other cases
Several others were also sentenced recently:
Joshua Euard, 21, of Steward Avenue, Greenville, was sentenced to six to 12 months in jail for simple assault and disorderly conduct. According to court documents, on May 27, he broke another man's nose after punching him repeatedly at a Greenville residence.
Valarie Matthews, 33, of Lickingville, Pa., was placed on 36 months' probation for criminal conspiracy to retail theft, a misdemeanor. She and two other people, according to court documents, conspired to steal $1,098 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, Pa. Route 58, Pine Township, including a computer, a monitor and a game controller.
Ronald Musial, 57, of Colonial Drive, Canfield, Ohio, was sentenced to eight days to a year in jail for misdemeanor disorderly conduct and given eight days credit for time served. On May 9, according to court documents, he pushed a woman to the ground, choked her, and repeatedly threatened to kill her at an Ohio Street, Sharon, residence. The woman suffered injuries to her neck, cheek, shoulder, knee and ankle.
Eddie Robertson, 41, of the Mercer County Jail, was sentenced to one to three years in the state penitentiary for possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver, a felony. He was apprehended Nov. 8, 2002, in the 300 block of Quimby Street, Farrell, with 13 grams of cocaine, according to court documents. He was given 108 days' credit for time served.
