Trip, party mark 50th anniversary for Skolodas



XSTRUTHERS -- Nov. 27 marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Skoloda, 504 Brandon Ave.
The occasion was celebrated in October with a tour of the New England states and again Nov. 6 at a surprise party hosted by their children at The Elm Tree.
The couple's family consists of their children and their spouses, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred (Shari) Stefano of Florence, S.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip (Paula) Wallace of Struthers; and Mr. and Mrs. John (Lisa) Skoloda of Poland; and their five grandchildren.
Mr. Skoloda and the former Mary Lou Annichine were married Nov. 27, 1954, at St. Nicholas Church.
Mrs. Skoloda retired in 1997 from the Family Dollar Store in Struthers. Her husband, who served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1959, retired in 1984 from GATX Corp. in Masury, where he was a welder supervisor, and in 1997 from Munroe Inc.
The couple are members of New Life Assembly of God in Poland.
