Nero leads Lowellville to sixth straight win



LOWELLVILLE -- Amanda Nero scored 24 points to lead unbeaten Lowellville to a 61-43 victory over Crestview Wednesday in a high school girls basketball game.
Nero also had six assists for the Rockets (6-0). Kaitlin McCarthy added 15 points, while Ali Grapevine had seven assists.
Elyse Mongillo led Crestview (5-3) with 19 points, and Ann Unkefer scored 14.
Springfield 75, East Palestine 54
EAST PALESTINE -- Lindsay Johnson poured in 23 points, and she also had eight assists, to lead Springfield.
The Tigers (4-3) also got 11 points and eight rebounds from Samantha Cavalier, 11 points and eight rebounds from Samantha Dick, and 13 points from Angelina Fiumara.
East Palestine (5-3) was led by Ashley Ehrenberg, who scored 19 points, and Samantha Ditello, who scored 10.
United 63, South Range 41
NORTH LIMA -- Ashley Bergman scored 15 points to lead United.
Emmy Prosko and Darlene Woolf added 10 each for the Golden Eagles (5-4), who bolted to a 20-10 lead at the end of the first quarter.
South Range (3-7) was led by Michelle Pingley, who scored 14 points.
