MAHONING COUNTY Bond set for man in abduction

YOUNGSTOWN -- Anthony West's bond was set at $500,000 Monday in municipal court on kidnapping charges.
He will be back in court Jan. 18 for a preliminary hearing.
West, 20, of East Lucius Avenue, was arrested on a warrant Saturday when cleared for release from St. Elizabeth Health Center. He was booked into the Mahoning County jail pending arraignment.
Police said West was Anthony Brock's accomplice in the kidnapping of two teenage cousins on Dec 13.
Brock, 34, of Youngstown, was shot to death in a car on Cambridge Street when one of the cousins freed himself.
West was shot in the head during the escape. He ran to a house in the 700 block of Palmer Street to seek help and was taken to St. Elizabeth's.
