Trumbull Co. shutdown
WARREN -- Don't plan on transacting any Trumbull County business after Wednesday this week.
The courthouse and county buildings will be closed Thursday and Friday because of negotiated days off for union employees.
Because Christmas falls on the weekend, county workers normally would get Friday off.
But because Friday is Christmas Eve, another holiday, the negotiated day off for workers is bumped back to Thursday, explained James Keating, human resources director. No county business can be transacted Thursday and Friday, he said.
Extra patrols planned
AUSTINTOWN -- Township police will be doing extra patrolling Wednesday and Thursday. The officers will be enforcing speed and Seat-belt laws as well as other violations. The Ohio Governor's Highway Safety office funds the program.
