AREA COLLEGES Steding, Miles lead Allegheny to upset



The Gators knocked off Westminster, 60-46.
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Courtney Steding had 11 points and 13 rebounds, leading Allegheny College to a 60-46 victory over Westminster on Monday night.
Raelynn Miles finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Gators (4-4), while Caitlin Murtaugh had seven points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
Desiree Sterling led Westminster (7-3) with 14 points, and Erica Tallo had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Hillsdale 77, Slippery Rock 52
BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Stacey Green scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds for Slippery Rock, which played at Disney's Wide World of Sports.
Slippery Rock is 4-6.
Ohio Wesleyan 76, Mt. Union 74
ALLIANCE -- Kelly Heil scored 22 points and pulled down 15 rebounds, both game-highs, to lead Ohio Wesleyan (6-3).
Tiffany Ray added 15 points for the Bishops, while Celina Dopoulos added 14.
Ashley Bourdeau scored 17 points to lead Mount Union (2-7). Earlier in the day, Bourdeau was named Ohio Athletic Conference player of the week.
Kyla Hogan added 15 points for the Purple Raiders, while Lisa Dubinsky scored 14 and Ashley Ross had 11. Dubinsky also had 12 rebounds and Jen Brozak seven assists.
Muskingum 56, Bethany 51
BETHANY, W. Va. - Bethany committed 24 turnovers in losing its fourth straight game.
Katie Resanovich led the Bison (2-8) with 12 points and 10 boards for her second career double-double. Jenny Place added 12 points, six rebounds and three assists, and Nikki Babik had eight points and four assists, and now needs 18 more points to reach 1,000 for her career.
Lesley Kimble led the Muskies with 13 points and seven rebounds, while Jennifer Huffman added 10 points.
