Palmer acquires Mayflower group

Owner promises an expansion of his financial services.
NORTH JACKSON -- John E. Palmer, owner and president of Palmer Insurance & amp; Financial Services Inc., has purchased the Mayflower Insurance Group Inc.
"The acquisition of The Mayflower Insurance Group will provide the clients of Palmer Insurance & amp; Financial Services with an expanded offering of insurance services and products," Palmer said.
"Clients of Mayflower will enjoy uninterrupted continuity of policies and services, and will have access to new financial and insurance products through Palmer Insurance & amp; Financial Services."
The Mayflower Insurance Group offers property, casualty, automobile, home and commercial insurance products.
Palmer Insurance & amp; Financial Services offers life, disability and health insurance products, as well as, 401(k) plans, IRAs, Simple IRAs, SEPs, mutual funds, annuities and other investment products.
Palmer Insurance & amp; Financial Services, established in January of 2001, shares the same business address as The Mayflower Insurance Group: 253 South Salem-Warren Road.
John Palmer, a chartered life underwriter, is a graduate of Youngstown State University.
He is a member of Austintown Community Church, the YMCA and the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber. Palmer and his wife, Jenny, have three children and reside in Mineral Ridge.
