KRISTINE SMIKMICHAEL MAZZELLA
XCANFIELD -- Living in Canfield after returning from a cruise to the western Caribbean are Michael J. Mazzella and his bride, the former Kristine M. Smik, who were married Nov. 13 at Old North Church.
The Rev. Brent Allen performed the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Sandy and Joe Smik, 7401 E. Parkside Drive, Boardman, and the son of Bernice Mazzella, 3876 Edinburgh Drive, Austintown, and the late Julius Mazzella.
A reception was held afterward at the Maronite Center in Youngstown.
A princess-style gown of ivory satin adorned with pearls and sequins was worn by the bride.
Wearing berry-red gowns were Tammy Chmelik, honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Melissa McDonald, Michele Thistlewaite, Deanna Huddleston and Lisa DiTomasso. Junior bridesmaids were April and Autumn Krempasky.
Marc Mazzella performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Timothy Smik, James Pantalone, Michael Wellendorf and Christopher Johnson.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree in education at Youngstown State University and a master's in curriculum development at Ashland University. She is a fourth-grade teacher for Austintown Local Schools at Watson Elementary School.
The groom is an account manager for Thomson West in Cleveland. He received his bachelor's in biology from YSU and his juris doctorate from Case Western Reserve University.
