Sex offender to serve five years in prison

YOUNGSTOWN -- John E. Wolff, 55, of Orlo Lane will serve five years in prison for improperly touching a female relative under age 10.
Judge Maureen Sweeney of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court sentenced Wolff at a hearing Wednesday.
Sweeney also ruled that Wolff be labeled a sexually oriented offender, which means he must register as a sex offender with law enforcement authorities for 10 years in the area he resides after his release from prison.
Dawn Krueger, an assistant county prosecutor, said Wolff pleaded guilty earlier this year to four counts of gross sexual imposition. The assaults on the girl took place in 2003 in Poland, Krueger said.
Wolff received four years on the first two counts and one year combined on the other two counts, and the terms are to be served consecutively.
