BETHANY, W. Va. -- Despite missing 12 of its first 13 shots and falling behind 13-2 to start the game, Bethany rallied to defeat Hiram for its sixth consecutive win. Junior Mike Drahos led Bethany with 21 points and six rebounds, and Chris Stephens added 14 points, four assists and four steals. Junior Josh Polantz scored a season-high 11 points and had six assists. Bethany (8-2) shot 38.3-percent from the field, its worst shooting game this season. Hiram committed 23 turnovers to Bethany's 11. Carlton Dean led the Hiram (2-7) with 28 points and eight rebounds, and Rick Baldwin added 18 points and five rebounds. Hiram shot 61 percent in the first half and led 32-25 at halftime. The Terriers held the lead until Stephens hit a 3-pointer with 4:10 remaining. The shot capped an 18-6 run and gave Bethany its first lead of the game at 58-57. Bison sophomore forward James Wallace scored eight points during the run. Hiram regained the lead on its next possession on a layup by Brandon Pool, but Stephens responded with a basket that sparked a 9-0 Bethany run, putting the game out of reach.
