Hot Hauser leads Geneva
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Christian Hauser scored 17 points and shot 80 percent from the field to lead Geneva to a 72-53 victory over Grove City.
The Wolverines have lost four straight.
Tim Sawyer also had 17 points for the Golden Tornadoes (8-5), who have a 17-day break before playing Malone on Dec. 30.
Grove City (4-4) got 13 points and seven rebounds from Phil Bushre.
Geneva led by as many as 12 in the first half and had a 30-23 lead at halftime. Grove City cut it to 34-30 three minutes into the second half, but Geneva went on a 36-21 run during the next 10 minutes and took control.
Westminster 95, LaRoche 89
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- Senior guard Chris Hatch led six double-digit scorers with a team-high 17 points to lead the Westminster (8-1) to its seventh consecutive win.
It is the Titans' longest winning streak since Westminster won eight consecutive games over two seasons in 2001.
Westminster led 45-28 at halftime. Early in the second half, LaRoche (2-4) went on an 18-0 run to cut the lead to 51-48 with 15:35 remaining. The Titans surged back ahead by as many as 14 and LaRoche again went on a run to cut the lead to one point with 4:52 left, but could not take the lead.
