GIRLS BASKETBALL Bodrick's big night keys Mooney's rout
McDonald and Lowellville remained unbeaten in the Inter-County League.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Amber Bodrick totaled 18 points and 21 rebounds to lead Cardinal Mooney High to a 78-30 victory over Woodrow Wilson in a girls basketball game Monday night.
Casey Kubik added 13 points for the Cardinals (3-2) and Gina Brunetti added 12.
Keisha Letlow paced the Redmen (1-6) with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Chaney 36,Youngstown Christian 32
YOUNGSTOWN -- Maria Faison scored 11 points to lead Chaney in a game played at the Youngstown Sports Arena.
The Cowgirls (2-3) led 11-4 after the first quarter, 16-12 at halftime and 28-18 after three quarters.
Kara Cooper scored 10 points to lead Youngstown Christian (3-4), and Kara Pecchia had nine rebounds for the Eagles.
Wellsville 59, Campbell 29
CAMPBELL -- Jasmine Richardson scored 23 points to lead Wellsville, which led 28-9 at halftime.
Richardson also had 11 rebounds, five steals and she blocked three shots.
Lindsey Householder added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Tigers.
Campbell (2-4) was led by Veronica Lewis, who finished with 12 points and five rebounds. Chaka Walker also had five rebounds and Samantha Jackson had three steals.
Campbell committed 25 turnovers.
Crestview 43, Lisbon 37
LISBON -- Elyse Mongillo had seven points, six steals and four assists to lead Crestview (4-1, 3-0 Tri-County League).
Erica Sims scored 12 points for Lisbon (3-3, 1-2 TCL).
Kim Davis added eight points, seven rebounds and three steals for the Blue Devils. Samantha Dailey had three steals and Caitlin Glenn had seven points and five assists.
Columbiana 83, Southern 13
COLUMBIANA -- Lisa Simon had 16 points and seven rebounds to help keep the Clippers unbeaten in the TCL.
Stacie Cross added 15 points for Columbiana (6-1, 3-0 TCL), and Christa Johnson scored 12. Whitney Goist and Colleen Eisenbraun added 10 apiece.
Laura VanDyne had three points for Southern (1-5, 0-3).
McDonald 63, South Range 42
NORTH LIMA -- Ashleigh Tondo scored 17 points to lead McDonald in an Inter-County League game.
Ashshena Stephens added 15 points for the Blue Devils (5-2, 2-0 ICL), and Amy Dolsak scored 10.
For South Range (2-6, 1-2), Michelle Pingley was high scorer with 10 points.
Western Reserve 51,Mineral Ridge 37
BERLIN CENTER -- McKenzie Mowery scored 13 points, and Saleena Niehaus added 11 points and seven steals, for Western Reserve.
The Blue Devils (2-5, 1-1 ICL) also got eight rebounds apiece from Sara Kutsko and Alex Rathburn.
Abbey Kyger led Mineral Ridge with 10 points.
Lowellville 66, Springfield 46
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- Amanda Nero had 22 points, six steals and five assists to help keep Lowellville unbeaten.
Dana Donatelli added 15 points for the Rockets (5-0, 3-0 ICL), and Kaitlin McCarthy scored 12. Sara Porter had six rebounds.
Lindsay Johnson had team highs of 22 points and 10 rebounds for Springfield (3-3, 2-1).
