BEAVER TOWNSHIP Trustees give OK on final plans for Sharrott Road development

Ground is expected to be broken within a month.
NORTH LIMA -- The Beaver Township trustees gave the go-ahead Monday for the first phase of the Lakes at Sharrott Hill housing development.
At a special meeting, the trustees, at the recommendation of the township zoning commission, approved final plans for the first phase of the project. The project, divided into seven phases, will involve the development of 39 single family houses and 18 condominiums at the 111-acre site along Sharrott Road in Beaver Township.
Groundbreaking expected soon
Owner/developer Dan Peacock said he expects to break ground within the next month.
Earlier this year township officials approved the project providing Peacock obtained all necessary permits required by the state and county.
Township officials said Peacock has met all of the township's requests, including completing a full disclosure document that provides prospective buyers with a rundown of the property, including its proximity to an area airport and hunting club.
Know what to expect
"That way we've made sure folks know to expect planes flying overhead and that there is a hunting club nearby," said George Smerigan, township planning coordinator. "That way they can't come back, after buying a home there, and say they bought the property without knowing this. That way, everyone knows what's there, what to expect and exactly what the property has to offer. By requiring this [disclosure], we're dealing with any future complaints anyone might have."
