DURHAM, N.C. -- Mike Krzyzewski celebrated his latest milestone in style, sitting on the bench while being serenaded with chants of "700!" by the Cameron Crazies he helped create.
On a court that bears his moniker, Coach K became the sixth active coach to reach 700 career victories, watching as Shelden Williams finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds to help No. 9 Duke beat Toledo 82-54.
During a brief ceremony after the game, Krzyzewski thanked several people within the program, including current and past players, former athletic director Tom Butters and the students that pack Cameron Indoor Stadium for every game.
J.J. Redick scored 14 points and Daniel Ewing added 13 for the Blue Devils (6-0).
Krzyzewski's record is 700-240.
