2 teens killed, 3 are hurt in car, state dump truck accident

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- A Hillsville, Pa., teenager died in a traffic accident that also killed another teen and injured three others, Pennsylvania State Police said Saturday.
Ryan Gierlach, 16, of Hillsville, was pronounced dead at Butler County Memorial Hospital. Stephen Lysiak, 16, whose address was unavailable, was pronounced dead at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Andrea Martsolf, 16, of New Castle suffered minor injuries when she drove her Dodge Dakota pickup into the path of a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation dump truck at 4 p.m. Friday on Pa. Route 8 in Brady Township, Butler County, state police said. The dump truck driver was unhurt.
Andrew Freet, 16, whose address was unavailable, was in serious condition Saturday evening at Children's Hospital.
State police said Timothy J. Masone, 17, of New Castle, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital. But a hospital spokeswoman said they had no patient under that name.
Martsolf's pickup truck was hit by the dump truck on the passenger side, police said.
