Wedding planned by Stacey Shells, Kenneth Cheirs
XYOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. and Mrs. Lawrence E. Shells, 515 St. Louis Ave., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Stacey L. Shells, to Kenneth W. Cheirs, 188 Clarencedale Ave., son of William and Freddie Mae Cheirs, 5524 Harrison, Kansas City, Mo., and Arthur and Genova Keys, 327 Broadview, Ave.
The couple will be married during an open ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at Christian Bible Baptist Church, and an open reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
Miss Shells is a GED instructor with the Adult Basic Learning Education program for Youngstown City School District. She earned her bachelor's degree in English at Youngstown State University, where she is pursing a second bachelor's in education.
Mr. Cheirs, who attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, is a group leader with Timken Latrobe Steel Distributors in Vienna.
