WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Eric Williams had a season-high 21 points Saturday and No. 1 Wake Forest rebounded from its first loss with a 90-73 romp over Richmond.
Justin Gray scored 18 of his 22 points in the first half for the Demon Deacons (6-1), coming off a lopsided loss at Illinois that almost certainly will cost them the No. 1 ranking next week.
Jermaine Bucknor scored 14 points to lead the Spiders (3-2).
No. 2 Kansas 81, Pacific 70
LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) -- Keith Langford had 21 points and a career-high seven assists and Wayne Simien had his fourth straight double-double, leading No. 2 Kansas past scrappy Pacific.
Aaron Miles had eight assists and 19 points, one short of the senior guard's career high, for the Jayhawks (4-0).
Christian Maraker had 22 points for the Tigers (2-1).
No. 6 Oklahoma St. 81, Washington St. 29
STILLWATER, Okla. -- John Lucas and Joey Graham combined to outscore Washington State and No. 6 Oklahoma State beat the Cougars to move Eddie Sutton into eighth place on the career coaching wins list.
The Cougars (3-2) missed their first six shots -- including five from 3-point range -- and it didn't get much better from there. Oklahoma State (5-0) built a commanding 29-2 lead in the first half and was up 36-10 at halftime.
No. 9 North Carolina 91, No. 8 Kentucky 78
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- Rashad McCants scored 28 points, Sean May had 14 points and 19 rebounds and Jawad Williams tipped in a miss to thwart a second-half rally, helping ninth-ranked North Carolina beat No. 8 Kentucky.
The Wildcats (4-1) had trimmed what was a 17-point deficit to seven on a 3-pointer by Bobby Perry with about 4 minutes left.
Raymond Felton missed a 3 for the Tar Heels, but Williams timed his leap perfectly to give North Carolina (6-1) an 81-72 lead.
Kelenna Azubuike had 24 points for the Wildcats (4-1).
No. 10 Duke 93, Valparaiso 61
CHICAGO -- J.J. Redick scored 26 points and No. 10 Duke used a smothering defense to rout Valparaiso and give coach Mike Krzyzewski his 699th career win.
Playing in Krzyzewski's hometown, the Blue Devils (5-0) took control midway through the first half with a 20-4 run and sailed from there.
DeMarcus Nelson scored 17 points for the Blue Devils . Dan Oppland paced Valparaiso (0-4) with 21 points.
No. 12 Maryland 78, George Mason 54
WASHINGTON-- Chris McCray and Nik Caner-Medley each scored 20 points and 12th-ranked Maryland limited George Mason (3-2) to four first-half baskets to advance to the championship game of the BB & amp;T Classic.
John Gilchrist had nine points and nine assists for the Terrapins (4-1).
Jai Lewis had 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Patriots.
No. 13 Pittsburgh 87, Duquesne 57
PITTSBURGH -- Chris Taft and Chevon Troutman controlled the inside and Carl Krauser led No. 13 Pittsburgh's improved guard play in an victory over city rival Duquesne.
Taft had 16 points, Troutman added 15 points and 11 rebounds and Krauser scored 15 points to help Pittsburgh start 5-0.
The inside dominance of Troutman and Taft never allowed Duquesne (1-7) to consistently get the ball inside, forcing the Dukes to settle for contested outside shots.
No. 17 Louisville 98, Lafayette 57
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Francisco Garcia scored 25 points and Ellis Myles grabbed 16 rebounds to lead No. 17 Louisville to a rout of Lafayette.
Freshman Juan Palacios scored 16 and Larry O'Bannon added 13 for the Cardinals (4-1).
Paul Cummins scored 13 to lead overmatched Lafayette (1-4).
No. 18 Texas 70, Seton Hall 62
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Freshman Daniel Gibson scored 15 points and No. 18 Texas overcame its worst shooting game of the season to beat Seton Hall.
The Longhorns (5-1) were hitting 50.4 percent 3-pointers for the season, but were 6-for-17 on 3s against Seton Hall (2-2).
Andre Sweet had 26 points for the Pirates.
Miami 72, No. 19 Florida 65
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Anthony Harris scored 18 of his career-high 23 points in the second half to help Miami upset No. 19 Florida and give first-year coach Frank Haith his biggest victory.
Guillermo Diaz and Robert Hite added 16 apiece for the Hurricanes (3-2). Anthony Roberson had 20 points for Florida (4-1).
