Johnson-Machel wedding date is announced

XYOUNGSTOWN -- The engagement of Carolyn A. Johnson and Jacob A. Machel, both of 3555 Elk Run Court, Groverport, is being announced by her parents, Mike and Helen Johnson, 3310 Fremont Ave.
The future groom is a son of Dennis and Lynn Machel, 140 Trumbull Ave., Girard. He attended Youngstown State University and is an associate with Pier 1 Imports in Grove City.
The bride elect- is an associate with Wal-Mart in Columbus.
The couple will exchange nuptial vows during a 1:30 p.m. ceremony they have planned for Oct. 2 at Evangel Baptist Church. The open ceremony will be followed by an afternoon reception to be held by invitation at the Knights of Columbus Hall in McDonald.
