Tusins observe 57th anniversary at family dinner

XAUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. William Tusin Sr., 5838 Yorktown Lane, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary July 25 at a dinner party held at their home.
Hosts for the festivity were their children and their spouses, William Jr. and Jean Tusin of Youngstown, Michael Tusin Sr. of Austintown, Kathy and Cliff Mell of Marietta, Ga., and Eileen and Joseph Catanzaro of Austintown. There are six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren in the family. One grandson is deceased.
Mr. Tusin and the former Caroline Makar were married July 26, 1947, at St. Rose Church, Girard, in a double wedding ceremony with her sister, Rose Makar, and George Missik. The Tusins are members of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald.
Mr. Tusin was employed by Oldberg Manufacturing and Commerical Shearing Co., both in Youngstown. He is a member of Sam Camen Golf League.
Mrs. Tusin retired as a seventh-grade teacher with Youngstown City School District. She is a member of Pine Lake Ladies Golf League.
