Scrappers rained out, remain Tribe affiliate

Mahoning Valley will play a doubleheader at Jamestown at 5:05 today.
NILES -- The Mahoning Valley Scrappers' Player Development Contract with the Cleveland Indians has been extended for two more years, keeping the Scrappers affiliated with the Indians through the 2006 season.
The Scrappers have been an Indians affiliate since the inaugural season in 1999.
Two former Scrappers, C.C. Sabathia and Victor Martinez, are on the Cleveland Indians roster along with a number of players who have played with the Scrappers on rehab assignments.
Mahoning Valley completed its 2004 home schedule Thursday with a 7-6 loss to the Aberdeen Ironbirds.
The Scrappers remain in the wild card playoff chase.
Playoff ticket packages are on sale by calling the ticket office at (330) 505-0000.
Refunds will be offered for any unplayed playoff games.
The Scrappers finished the season by drawing 160,832 fans to Eastwood Field, the team's largest attendance mark since the 2001 season and almost 19,000 more fans than last season when the team drew 141,889 fans.
Friday night's game between the Jamestown Jammers and the Scrappers was postponed because of rain.
The teams will play a doubleheader today at Russell Diethrick Park with the first game scheduled for 5:05 p.m.
There will be a 30-minute delay between games.
