Ox roast events
BAZETTA -- Glenn Christian Church's 2004 Ox Roast & amp; Car Show will be Friday to Sept. 5 at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds. Events Friday will feature a cruise from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with free registration from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Trophies will be given out at 9 p.m. There will also be a bonfire, a DJ, and free hot dogs and beverages. Registration will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, with trophies at 4 p.m. There will be a band, DJ, and free hot dogs and beverages. On Sept. 5, registration will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with trophies at 5 p.m. There will also be door prizes, a DJ, a clown, free food and drinks, a corn-on-the-cob-eating contest, activities for kids and fireworks. A worship service is set for 10:30 a.m., and a demolition derby is at 7 p.m. with tickets available at the show.
Outdoor concert canceled
CANFIELD -- The last outdoor concert of the season at Loghurst historic home site, 3967 Boardman-Canfield Road, has been canceled. It was to be Saturday, featuring Crestview Military Symphonic Wind Ensemble. Loghurst staff says more concerts will be scheduled for next summer.
Paper-airplane class
WARREN -- National Packard Museum and the Trumbull Art Gallery are sponsoring a paper-airplane-making class for ages 8 and up. The class will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 18 at the museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave. Pupils will learn how to make high-performance paper airplanes. 'Triple Espresso' tickets
CLEVELAND -- Tickets will go on sale Monday for "Triple Espresso -- A Highly Caffeinated Comedy," which will open Sept. 30 for a limited run at Hanna Theater on East 14th Street. The three-man show features original songs, audience interaction, parodies and slapstick humor in telling the story of three entertainers -- a magician, a musician and a comic -- who reflect on their ill-fated performance tour 25 years earlier. Performances will be Wednesday through Sunday evenings, with weekend matinees. Ticket prices are $35 and $38. Call Tickets.com at (800) 766-6048.
Ohio ACLU to show film
HIGHLAND HILLS -- American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio is sponsoring a presentation of "Unconstitutional," a film by Robert Greenwald, at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at Cuyahoga Community College Eastern Campus, 4250 Richmond Road. Greenwald believes the war on terror has led to infringements on Constitutional rights. After the film, ACLU of Ohio's executive director, Christine Link, and Cleveland Marshall School of Law professor Susan Becker will lead a question-and-answer session. Admission is $5.
