XBOARDMAN -- The wedding of Joanne Michelle Hoon and Jared Royce Taylor took place at 1 p.m. July 24 at Calvary Assembly of God. The Rev. David Bennett officiated for the daughter of Raymond and Georgia Hoon, New Middletown, and the son of Bonnie and Terry Collings, Austintown, and Royce Taylor, Portland, Tenn.
A reception was held at Fonderlac Country Club in New Springfield, and the couple spent their honeymoon in Italy.
They are living in New Middletown.
The bride wore a two-piece, strapless ballgown of white Italian satin. It featured a sweetheart neckline trimmed with rhinestones, a corset-style back and cathedral train.
Her sister, Jennine Gleghorn, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Dawna Horn and the bride's cousin, Amanda Cappitte. They wore Victorian lilac gowns. Flower girls were Brianna and Mackenzie Gleghorn, the bride's nieces.
The Rev. Aaron Taylor performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Noel Taylor, another brother of the groom, and Raymond Hoon Jr., the bride's brother. Caleb Taylor, the groom's nephew, was ring bearer, and ushers were Jason Szari and Matthew Bushling.
The bride, a graduate of Youngstown State University, is a planning intern with Forum Health in Youngstown and a model with the Talent Group in Pittsburgh.
The groom is a YSU graduate and a sales and service representative with Alltel Communications in Youngstown.
