XAUSTINTOWN -- Wedgewood Park Evangelical Congregational Church was the setting at 1:30 p.m. July 24 as marriage vows were exchanged by Heather Socie, daughter of Rita and Joseph Socie of Youngstown, and Joseph Oslavic, son of Delores Oslavic of North Lima and the late John Oslavic Sr.
The Revs. Gerald Davison and Mike Soltis officiated, and a reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Poland.
The couple honeymooned in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and live in Boardman.
The bride wore a white satin gown trimmed with beaded lace and featuring a heart-shaped back accented with pearls. The skirt flowed to a cathedral train.
Maid of honor was Carla Tirabassi, and bridesmaids were Tina Oslavic, the groom's sister, and Branden Socie, the bride's cousin. They wore aqua gowns. Flower girl was Chrissy Stein, the groom's niece.
Jimmy Oslavic performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Jon Locketti and Ed Eve. The groom's nephew, Johnny Oslavic, was ring bearer.
A graduate of Youngstown State University, Mrs. Oslavic is employed as manager at Chick-Fil-A in Boardman.
Her husband is a laborer at General Extrusions, also in Boardman.
